The relative contribution of professional personality patterns to career adaptabilities among pre-graduate students

    • Background/Aim: The current study sought to uncover the impact of career personality patterns on the professional adaptability of individuals nearing graduation. In addition, this study aimed to examine the variations in career personality patterns and adaptability within the study group based on various demographic factors such as gender, academic average, and specialisation. Methodology: The study sample included a total of 556 male and female students. The study revealed that the average score for professional personality types was 72.83, indicating a moderate degree. Interestingly, the social personality type had the highest average score, followed by the ordinary personality type. On the other hand, the realistic personality style had the lowest average score. Results: The findings revealed that the readiness of graduating individuals in terms of professional adaptability scored an average of 93.41. Additionally, their self-confidence was measured at 24.48, while their curiosity level stood at 23.23. The study also uncovered differences in the technical and social aspects, where males had higher scores on the Professional Personality Styles Scale compared to females, even though there were no significant differences in the other dimensions. Conclusion: Men consistently outperform women in every aspect of the professional adaptability scale, resulting in a significant advantage in the overall score.
