Un paseo por la filosofía ambiental: la belleza de la naturaleza como valor ético

    En este artículo se rescata la importancia de los va-lores estéticos para la ética ambiental, en el contexto actual de degradación prometeica de la naturaleza. Para ello, profundiza-mos en el pensamiento de distintos protagonistas de la filosofía ambiental (Leopold, Næss, Morin, Prigogine y Stengers) relativo a los valores estéticos y analizamos el rol que tienen en el marco de sus propuestas ecológicas. La tesis de fondo es que los valo-res estéticos permiten recoger las experiencias humanas en toda su complejidad y unicidad, sin la necesidad de reducirlas a algo “universalizable”, destacando la relación originaria existente en-tre ser humano y naturaleza

    This article highlights the importance of aesthetic values for environmental ethics, in the current context of the Promethean degradation of nature. To this end, we examine in depth the thinking of different protagonists of environmental philosophy (Leopold, Naess, Morin, Prigogine and Stengers) with reference to aesthetic values and analyze the role they play in the framework of their ecological proposals. The basic thesis is that aesthetic values allow grasping human experiences in all their complexity and uniqueness, without reducing them to something “universalizable”, highlighting the original relationship between human beings and nature.
