Resumen de Damasio y Scheler: estimación y emoción una actualización de la perspectiva schleriana

En este trabajo, me propongo explicar la raigambre biológica de los actos de estimación, a un nivel básico. El objetivo es releer las tesis de Scheler acerca del valor, a la luz de algunos nuevos descubrimientos en materia neurocientífica, especialmente desde la perspectiva de Damasio y la interpretación de su “marcador somático” que realiza Jesús Conill. A mi juicio, puede resultar un intento fecundo a la hora de comprender al ser humano como ser axiológico, ya incluso desde la biología: encontrar la importancia basal que poseen el valor y la emoción que lo aprehende. Para esto, exploraremos someramente las tesis schelerianas acerca del valor, en contraste con autores modernos y frente a las tesis de Damasio. Esto nos mostrará, también, que la razón nunca es razón pura, y esta tesis es fundamental también para el ámbito educativo.

In this work, my purpose is to explain the biological roots of the acts of estimation, at a basic level. The objective is to re-read the thesis on value of Scheler, in the evidence of the new findigns in neuroscientific matter, specially from Damasio and the interpretation of his “somatic marker” hypothesis by Jesús Conill. In my opinion, it can be a fertile attempt upon understanding human being as an axiological being, even from biology: to find the basic importance of value, and the emotion which apprehends it. Pursuing this, we will briefly explore schelerian thesis on value, contrasting them with modern authors and with the thesis of Damasio. This will show us, too, that reason is not pure reason, and this thesis is fundamental for education too.
