La “Escuela 7 de mayo de la Fundación Eva Perón” en el marco del proceso de profesionalización de la enfermería en la república argentina

    Con la llegada al gobierno de Juan Domingo Perón, comienza un nuevo periodo en la  República Argentina donde los habitantes experimentaron una ampliación de todos sus derechos. Se estableció una nueva estructura estatal, donde la dirección de la secretaria de Salud Pública quedó a cargo del Doctor Ramón Carrillo quien promovió una transformación en el ámbito sanitario en todo el país.

    En el marco de dicho contexto, la presente investigación apunta a estudiar el papel de la enfermería en relación con la situación de la profesión médica y el desarrollo de la misma vinculada a la presencia del Estado. Durante los primeros gobiernos peronistas, el reconocimiento de la enfermería y su desarrollo cobrarían en esta etapa renovados impulsos por su formación. El presente articulo apunta a trabajar la Escuela de Enfermeras 7 de mayo de la Fundación Eva Perón a partir de los registros que se encuentran en el acervo del Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Históricas Eva Perón (INIHEP); además de las entrevistas desarrolladas a las ex alumnas de dicha escuela, testimonios que forman parte del Archivo de Historia Oral del INIHEP.

    Teniendo en cuenta las contribuciones brindadas por los estudios de las mujeres y género sumado a los aportes de la historia social de la salud y la enfermedad, apuntamos a observar: por un lado, las características que tuvo la organización y matrícula estudiantil de la Escuela 7 de mayo, y por otra parte, el intento de la transformación del rol de las enfermeras observadas en la formación de las estudiantes de la Escuela 7 de mayo y las acciones llevadas adelante por las mismas.

    During 1946 General Juan Domingo Perón came to the presidency; This new government aimed to extend the rights to all the inhabitants of the Argentine nation. Within the new state structure, the direction of the Secretary of Public Health was in charge of Doctor Ramón Carrillo, who promoted a transformation in the health field of the country.

    From this context, we propose to study the role of nursing in relation to the situation of the medical profession and its development linked to the presence of the State. It is necessary to emphasize that during the first Peronist governments, the recognition of nursing and its development would receive at this stage, renewed impulses for its training. This presentation aims to work the School of Nurses May 7 of the Eva Perón Foundation from the records that are in the collection of the National Institute of Historical Research Eva Perón (INIHEP); in addition to the interviews carried out with the former students of said school, testimonies that are part of the Oral History Archive of INIHEP.

    Taking into account the contributions provided by the studies of women and gender added to the   contributions of the social history of health and disease, we aim to observe: On the one hand, the characteristics of the organization and student enrollment of School 7 of May, and on the other hand, the attempt to transform the role of the nurses observed in the training of the students of the 7 de Mayo School and the actions carried out by them.
