  • Resumen
    • As part of the Institute of Higher Studies in Advanced Practical (Istituto di Studi Superiori Pratici e di Perfezionamento) in 1860 was founded in Florence the Section of Law Studies, reserved for graduates in Law who, before being admitted to legal professions (lawyers, attorneys, judges), had to carry out a practice period. The lack of resources (human and financial) and the inadequate connections between the Institute and the College of Lawyers of Tuscany combined to bring about its failure, and in 1867 the Section was closed. Nevertheless, it represents an interesting (and ambitious) attempt to bridge the gap between academia and professions – that is, between theory and practice – which was already betrayed by insiders.
