Resumen de Actividad biocida del extracto crudo etanólico crudo del Piper elongatum "Matico" en cervicitis en mujeres en edad fértil, como alternativa terapéutica

La investigación tuvo como objetivo, determinar la actividad biocida del extracto crudo etanólico del Piper elongatum (Matico) de cervicitis en mujeres en edad fértil, de una población fue de 250 mujeres en edad fértil, 50 mujeres con diagnóstico de cervicitis aguda (34) y crónica (16), con edad promedio de 38 años, conformando grupos control y caso por 25 mujeres. Como instrumento se utilizó la hoja de entrevista estructurada, resultados de PAP y resultados de exámenes de laboratorio. Se lograron resultados alentadores 29.4% de las mujeres con cervicitis aguda recibieron el tratamiento con extracto crudo etanólico de matico al 1% se aliviaron frente al 20.6% del grupo control (X²: 4.37, p=0.037), mientras las mujeres diagnosticadas con cervicitis crónica, tratadas con extracto crudo etanólico al 5%, se aliviaron el 50% y ninguna en el grupo control, lo que indica que hay efectividad del extracto crudo etanólico de matico (X²: 7.27, p=0.007). Se concluye que los componentes bioactivos presentes en el extracto crudo etanólico tienen actividad biocida sobre la cervicitis aguda y crónica.

The objective of the research was to determine the biocidal activity of the ethanolic crude extract of the Piper elongatum (matico) of cervicitis in women of childbearing age, of a population was 250 women of childbearing age, 50 women with a diagnosis of acute cervicitis (34) and chronic (16), with an average age of 38 years, forming control and case groups for 25 women. The structured interview sheet, PAP results and laboratory test results were used as an instrument. Encouraging results were achieved 29.4% of women with acute cervicitis received treatment with 1% matico ethanolic crude extract were relieved against 20.6% of the control group (X2: 4.37, p = 0.037), while women diagnosed with chronic cervicitis, treated with 5% ethanolic crude extract, 50% were relieved and none in the control group, indicating that there is effectiveness of the matico ethanolic crude extract (X2: 7.27, p=0.007). It is concluded that the bioactive components present in the ethanolic crude extract have biocidal activity on acute and chronic cervicitis.
