Resumen de Elastic analysis of irregularly and sparsely sampled curves

• We provide methods and algorithms to approximate the elastic distance between irregularly and sparsely sampled curves and to t smooth elastic means for collections of such curves. Moreover, we illustrate both methods by applying them to a dataset comprising GPS tracks, where we rst cluster the tracks based on the elastic distance between them and then estimate elastic means for each cluster.
