El bilingüismo guarani-castellano: Un análisis de las actitudes lingüísticas en las zonas fronterizas paraguay-argentina

    Las actitudes lingüísticas se estudian a partir del contacto de más de una lengua porque estas influyen en la elección de una u otra lengua para la comunicación. Por tanto, con el propósito de contribuir a un mayor entendimiento sociolingüístico con respecto al bilingüismo guaraní castellano en las zonas fronterizas Paraguay-Argentina, se indagó acerca de las variaciones de las actitudes lingüísticas del bilingüismo guaraní-castellano de los académicos interesados en la cuestión del bilingüismo. El estudio fue descriptivo con un diseño no experimental cuantitativo transeccional. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó un cuestionario lingüístico, el cual estuvo integrado por expresiones aseverativas donde el informante tuvo la posibilidad de mostrar su grado de aceptación o de rechazo sobre lo planteado. La actitud hacia las lenguas guaraní y castellana se enmarcó, en general, dentro del carácter positivo, no obstante, el castellano contó con una tendencia positiva mayor con relación al guaraní en las zonas fronterizas Paraguay Argentina. Al observar las actitudes de los paraguayos y argentinos, los primeros, demostraron mayor afectividad hacia el guaraní, situación entendible por la realidad lingüística del Paraguay, en donde la lengua guarani es oficial junto al castellano y es de uso muy generalizado. En cuanto al castellano, tanto paraguayos como argentinos apreciaron esta lengua.

    Linguistic attitudes are studied from the contact of more than one language because they influence the election of one or an additional language for communication. Consequently, to contribute to a better sociolinguistic understanding of Guaraní Spanish bilingualism in the Paraguay Argentina border, it was explored the variations of the linguistic attitudes of the Guarani and Spanish bilingualism of academics interested in the subject. This study was descriptive, non-experimental with quantitative design. A linguistic questionnaire was applied to collect data, which was also composed with assertive expressions where the informant had the opportunity to state their level of acceptance or rejection of what was being suggested. The attitude concerning Guaraní and Spanish languages was outlined, in overall, as positive, however, Spanish had a superior positive trend compared to Guaraní in the Paraguay-Argentina border regions. When considering the attitudes of Paraguayans and Argentinians, the former revealed higher affection for the Guarani language, a condition assumed by the linguistic reality of Paraguay, where the Guarani language is official along with Spanish and it is also extensively spoken. Whereas the Spanish language, both Paraguayans and Argentinians treasured this language.
