    Introducción. Existe o es conocida la creencia, desde hace mucho tiempo -ya divulgada en la Antigua Grecia, hacia el siglo III a.C.- acerca que estas aves cantan una bella canción en el momento justo antes de morir, después de haber estado en silencio durante la mayor parte de su vida. Que sea esta alusión metafórica un motivo para exaltar la bella canción (léase labor editorial de Juan Guillermo Estay Sepúlveda -JGES-) desde donde tan bella, dialéctica, contextual y controversialmente cantó, dialogó, asesoró y escribió. Objetivo. Realizar una proximación inicial a la labor del cisne -JGES- mediada intersubjetivamente por pares a través de la apertura a Inclusiones y los Cuadernos de Sofía, en un diálogo Andino-Caribe. Metodología. Aproximación realizada desde lo cualitativo y lo comprensivo, enfocados en conocer/comprender algunos de los ámbitos vitales del editorialista que nos convoca, desde el método del estudio de caso, dada su versatilidad y utilidad para analizar tanto temas simples como complejos. Resultados. En principio, se ha de obtener la escritura graficada del presente texto como puerta entreabierta, de ingreso, a la vasta labor y aporte en el mundo complejo -y muchas veces complicado- de la labor y asesoría editorial, de manera grupal o individual desarrollada por JGES; posteriormente ampliar, en otra etapa del trabajo, más minuciosa y profunda, la multimodalidad ontológica, epistemológica y metodológica a la cual acudió el cisne, antes del viaje desde la dimensión terrenal hacia una dimensión no física.

    Introduction. There is a long-standing belief - already popularised in Ancient Greece, around the 3rd century BC - that these birds sing a beautiful song just before they die, after having been silent for most of their lives. Let this metaphorical allusion be a reason to exalt the beautiful song (read the editorial work of Juan Guillermo Estay Sepúlveda -JGES-) from where he so beautifully, dialectically, contextually and controversially sang, dialogued, advised and wrote. Objective. To make an initial approach to the work of Swan -JGES- mediated intersubjectively by peers through the opening of Inclusiones and the Cuadernos de Sofía, in an Andean-Caribbean dialogue. Methodology. Qualitative and comprehensive approach, focused on getting to know/understand some of the vital areas of the editorialist who summons us, from the case study method, given its versatility and usefulness to analyse both simple and complex issues. Results.
