    Se evaluó la ejecución de actividades del Programa de Salud del Niño y del Adolescente (versión 1980) del Ministerio de Salud a nivel local, en la cohorte de menores de un año inscritos en el consultorio La Faena del Servicio de Salud Metropolitano Oriente (n=1398 en 1980). Se tomó una muestra aleatoria de 117 (8,4%) y se obtuvo información de 100 niños mediante auditoría de las fichas clínicas. Un 29 0/o no cumplió calendario mínimo de control de salud en el primer año de vida. Un 64% fue captado a control antes de los 15 días de vida. Se calificó de alto riesgo a 1 de los 15 niños de peso de nacimiento alterado. El primer control de salud de 0 a 27 días obtuvo 33,8% de un estándar de calidad de 100%. Un 27% de los niños no cumplieron calendario de vacunas a los 11 meses, sólo 42% tuvieron visita domiciliaria y ninguno educación de grupo. La evaluación sistemática permitiría elevar la eficiencia y eficacia del Programa y urge implementarla a nivel local.

    An evaluation is carried out on activities of the Health Program for Infants and Adolescent (1980 version) of the Ministry of Health, applied to underage infants at the Center of the Cares of Primary Health "La Faena" dependent from the Metropolitan East Health Service. (N 1.398 in 1980). The work was fulfilled with an aleatory samole of 117 infants (8,4%) and informations on 100 infants through the revision of their clinical records. 29% of these infants did not present an account of the minimum calendar of health care during the first year. Only one, among 15 infants of feeble weight of birth was considered as "in state of risk". The standard of quality of the first health control accumulated a punctuation of 33,8% on a quality of 100%. A 27% did not respect the vaccination calendar at the age of 11 months. 42% had the benefit of a visit to the home by a health agent and not any of an education group. The authors conclude that a systematic evaluation of the observance of Ministerial Patterns should permit the increase the level of efficiency and of efficacy of the Program. Implementation of its is considered as urgent.
