  • Resumen
    • Background: In response to the “China threat theory”, China reiterates that it follows the path of peaceful development. As a college English teacher in China, the peaceful development should be conveyed in the class.

Chinese President Xi’s focus on integrating dominant and recessive education and utilizing Ideological and Political resources prompted the author to infuse The Great Wall spirit into Chinese President Xi’s remarks on Peace and development to refute the “China threat theory”. Methodology: This integration was achieved through a newly constructed model of semantic fields. A control group was taught using traditional methods, while the experimental group received the integrated approach. Pretest and post-test assessments on the international communication of the Great Wall spirit were administered to both groups. Results: Analysis of the collected data using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) revealed that the experimental group demonstrated significantly improved subjects’ ability to understand and communicate the international spirit of The Great Wall. Conclusion:

However, given the limited sample size, further work is recommended to build upon the findings of this study.

Some potential areas for future research include expanding the sample size to enhance the generalizability of the results, conducting longitudinal studies to assess the long-term impact of the integrated approach, and exploring the effectiveness of similar interdisciplinary strategies in other educational contexts. Additionally, investigating the perceptions and attitudes of students and teachers towards integrating international communication of The Great Wall spirit into President Xi’s remarks on Peace and development in the curriculum to refute “China threat theory” is to provide valuable insights for curriculum development and instructional practices.
