    Los fenómenos biológicos y en especial los del campo médico, obedecen a causas múltiples y variables, dada su atipicidad, sus medidas sólo pueden determinarse en base al método estadístico. N. Louis sostiene que la estadística en medicina debe ser el instrumento inseparable del método inductivo, al jugar un rol considerable el azar en la producción de tales fenómenos, surgen las ventajas de la aplicación de la noción de probabilidad a los hechos médicos.

    Biological phenomena and especially those in the medical field, multiple causes and variables, given its atypical, their measures can only be determined based on the statistical method. N. Louis argues that statistics in medicine should be the inseparable instrument of the inductive method, to play a significant role in the production chance of such phenomena, the advantages arising from the application of the notion of probability to the medical facts.
