Resumen de Algunas consideraciones sobre aspectos obstétricos en la mortalidad perinatal

  La mortalidad perinatal en la madre y el niño del Hospital "San Bartolomé", ubicada en Lima, Perú, durante el año mayo 1967 a abril 1968 se informó. La tasa de mortalidad fue de 29,8% PN. Mayor mortalidad PN se produjo entre los bebés prematuros: 59,2%. Toxemia fue el más importante (40%) de las causas de mortalidad materna PN. Prevención de la prematuridad y la toxemia entonces debería ayudar a reducir aún más la mortalidad PN.

  Perinatal mortality at the mother and child Hospital "San Bartolomé" located in Lima, Perú, during the year may 1967 to april 1968 is reported. The PN mortality rate was 29.8%. Highest PN mortality occurred amongst premature babies: 59.2%. Toxemia was the most important (40%) of the maternal causes of PN mortality. Prevention of prematurity and toxemia should then help to further reduce PN mortality.
