    The leading human and intellectual figure of Marcelo Arroita-Jáuregui is a great exponent of one of the best historic periods in the cultural and artistic life of Cantabria in the XX Century. His multifaceted personality, his interest to all artistic and creative novelties (specially poetry and films) greatly contributed to the birth and development of the so called «Proel Group», that shined immensely in Spain during the post-war.
