    Esta familia, con origen en Génova ‒o, más probablemente, en Guipúzcoa–, se asentó en Candelaria hacia la mitad del siglo XVII. A mediados del siglo XVIII parte de ella se asentó en los pagos de Las Cuevecitas y Malpaís, donde su descendencia continúa hasta la actualidad. A finales de esa misma centuria algunas personas de esta familia se establecieron en Güímar y en el primer tercio del XIX otras lo hicieron en La Laguna. Finalmente, en el segundo cuarto de ese último siglo un miembro destacado se trasladó a Arafo, de donde su descendencia pasó a La Orotava, luego a Santa Cruz de Tenerife y de allí a Venezuela, donde se registra un ilustre representante. No fue el único, pues varios miembros de esta familia sobresalieron en la política local, el clero, la milicia, la docencia, la música y el arte.

    This family originating in Genoa –or, more likely, in Guipúzcoa–, settled in Candelaria around the middle of the 17th century. In the middle of the 18th century, part of it settled in the payments of Las Cuevecitas and Malpaís, where its descendants continue to the present day. At the end of that same century, some people from this family settled in Güímar and in the first third of the 19th century others did so in La Laguna. Finally, in the second quarter of that last century, a prominent member moved to Arafo, from where his descendants went to La Orotava then to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and from there to Venezuela, where an illustrious representative is recorded.
