    La investigación tuvo como objetivo comparar los gobiernos de Juan Velasco Alvarado y Alberto Fujimori Fujimori en Perú, centrándose en la censura de los medios de prensa y su impacto en la sociedad. Además, se observarán las portadas de diarios más relevantes, a nuestro criterio, con la finalidad de hacer un análisis comparado del grado de censura de los medios informativos. Respecto al diseño de la investigación fue de enfoque cualitativo, tipo teórico y documental, se utilizó el método inductivo, analítico e histórico, y de nivel explicativo En el caso de Juan Velasco Alvarado, quien llegó al poder a través de un golpe de Estado, implementó reformas sociales y tuvo un control gradual de los medios de comunicación. Esto implicaba regular la crítica de la prensa para favorecer su gobierno y evitar la difusión de información contraria a la revolución. Por otro lado, Fujimori, con un amplio apoyo popular, se aferró al poder bajo la excusa de combatir el terrorismo. Utilizó recursos económicos y manipulación de los medios para influir en la opinión pública a favor de su gobierno y en contra de sus opositores. Adicionalmente, se analizaron diferentes posturas de autores respecto a la censura de los medios, tanto en contra como a favor de la libertad de expresión. A su vez, hablaremos de dos teorías que complementan la censura política Finalmente se concluyó que ambos regímenes manipularon los medios de comunicación, encubriendo sus acciones negativas y buscando mantenerse en el poder, aunque bajo instrumentos distintos.

    The objective of the research was to compare the governments of Juan Velasco Alvarado and Alberto Fujimori Fujimori in Peru, focusing on the censorship of the press and its impact on society. In addition, the most relevant newspaper front pages will be observed, at our discretion, in order to make a comparative analysis of the degree of censorship of the news media. Regarding the design of the research, it was of a qualitative approach, theoretical and documentary type, the inductive, analytical and historical method was used, and at an explanatory level. In the case of Juan Velasco Alvarado, who came to power through a coup, he implemented social reforms and had gradual control of the media. This implied regulating the criticism of the press to favor his government and avoid the dissemination of information contrary to the revolution. On the other hand, Fujimori, with broad popular support, clung to power under the excuse of fighting terrorism. He used economic resources and manipulation of the media to influence public opinion in favor of his government and against his opponents. Additionally, different positions of authors regarding media censorship were analyzed, both against and in favor of freedom of expression. In turn, we will talk about two theories that complement political censorship. Finally, it was concluded that both regimes manipulated the media, covering up their negative actions and seeking to remain in power, although under different instruments
