La sexualidad como expresión humana evaluada en jóvenes y docentes provenientes de un colegio público del cantón de Alajuela, Costa Rica

    La capacidad de educación sexual y mediación pedagógica, se puede evaluar a partir de los conocimientos y creencias que demuestren docentes y estudiantes en el tema. Objetivo: Evaluar el conocimiento en cuatro componentes de la sexualidad humana: vínculos emocionales, papeles sexuales, reproducción humana e infecciones de transmisión sexual y respuesta sexual y erotismo en jóvenes y docentes de noveno provenientes de un colegio público del cantón de Alajuela, noviembre de 2011. Método: La recolección de información se hizo por medio de cuestionario con 47 ítems. Se seleccionó una muestra de 33 estudiantes y 12 docentes. La creencia religiosa se evaluó sólo en estudiantes. El análisis de los datos cuantitativos se realizó mediante el programa SPSS 20.0 y Excel. Resultados: En 13 reactivos (28% de las respuestas) ni estudiantes ni docentes lograron atinar las respuestas correctas. Asimismo, los docentes superaron a los estudiantes en 24 reactivos (51%), aunque fueron superados por éstos en 8 (17%) casos. Los estudiantes creyentes y practicantes mostraron mejores conocimientos que quienes se consideran no creyentes y/o no practicantes. Conclusiones: Poco menos de la tercera parte de los integrantes de ambos grupos muestran desconocer aspectos básicos en los temas evaluados, lo cual se refleja en que docentes alcanzan o superan una nota mínima de 7,0 en sólo 20 ítems; mientras que los estudiantes lo logran en tan sólo 14 reactivos. Es necesario replantear la formación docente y mejorar la mediación pedagógica con el propósito de que niños y jóvenes reciban una educación apropiada y pertinente en el tema.

    The capacity of sexual education and pedagogic mediation, it is possible to evaluate from the knowledge and beliefs that teachers and students demonstrate in the topic. Objective: To evaluate the knowledge in four components of the human sexuality: emotional links, sexual papers, reproduction humanizes and infections of sexual transmission and sexual response and eroticism in young women and teachers of ninth from a public college of Alajuela's canton, in November, 2011. Method: The compilation of information was done by means of questionnaire by 47 articles. There was selected a sample of 33 students and 12 teachers. The religious belief was evaluated only in students. The analysis of the quantitative information realized by means of the program SPSS 20.0 and Excel. Results: Neither in 13 reagents (28 % of the answers) nor students nor teachers they managed to succeed in finding the correct answers. Likewise, the teachers overcame the students in 24 reagents (51 %), though cases were overcome by these in 8 (17 %). The students believers and medical instructors showed better knowledge that who they are considered to be not believers and / or not medical instructors. Conclusions: little less the third part of the members of both groups they show not to know basic aspects in the evaluated topics, which is reflected in that educational they reach or overcome a minimal note of 7,0 in only 20 articles; whereas the students achieve it in only 14 reagents. It is necessary to restate the educational formation and to improve the pedagogic mediation with the intention of which children and young women receive an appropriate and pertinent education in the topic.
