Resumen de El tema del multiverso en el filme Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) y en «El Aleph» de Borges: un estudio comparativo

El filme Everything Everywhere All at Once (Todo a la vez en todas partes, 2022) ha acaparado la atención del público y de la crítica gracias a su deslumbrante complejidad estilística. Su tema central, el multiverso, así como su estilo narrativo recuerdan a un célebre cuento de Jorge Luis Borges, «El Aleph», publicado en el volumen del mismo título en 1949. En este trabajo se compararán estas dos obras en lo que respecta a sus aspectos temáticos, estructurales y narratológicos, intentando establecer una relación entre estos planos y explorar cómo se reproduce lo infinito del multiverso. El estudio concluye que la película y el cuento son muy similares en la estructura y temática, pero ambos utilizan diferentes técnicas de expresión para lograr el efecto de enumeración caótica.

The film Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) has captured the attention of audiences and critics alike with its dazzling stylistic complexity. Its central theme, the multiverse, as well as its narrative style are reminiscent of a famous short story by Jorge Luis Borges, "The Aleph", published in the volume of the same title in 1949. This paper will compare these two works in terms of their thematic, structural and narratological aspects, attempting to establish a relationship on these planes and to explore how the infinity of the multiverse is reproduced. The study concludes that the film and the short story are very similar in structure and theme, but both use different techniques of expression to achieve the effect of chaotic enumeration.
