Resumen de Dues conferències de tema educatiu memorables a la ciutat d’Inca

In 1989, with the educational reform in full swing due to the proximity of a new law, the LOGSE, which would be approved the following year, many parents and teachers were looking for precise references at that crossroads. For this, the contribution of an expert who was a prestigious national referent and who could speak with the required breadth and in a space wide enough for an attendance that could be, as it happened, multitudinous, was needed. With the approval of the management of the Santo Tomás de Aquino school, the president of the respective Association of Parents of Students, Josep Arrom, conceived the idea of bringing to Inca one of the most renowned specialists in the field, David Isaac, from the University of Navarra, despite the financial requirements, which were considerable, and the uncertainty of the reaction of the rest of APA to the proposal. Even so, he got out of it after creating, with a lot of work and patience, an appropriate combination of efforts. The result was magnificent, and attendance at the two conferences finally scheduled exceeded all expectations.

El 1989, amb la reforma educativa en plena ebullició per la proximitat d’una nova llei, la Llei orgànica general del sistema educatiu (LOGSE), que s’aprovaria l’any següent, molts de pares i docents cercaven referents precisos en aquella cruïlla. Per a això, calia l’aportació de qualque expert que fos un referent estatal de prestigi i que pogués parlar amb l’amplitud requerida i en un espai prou ampli per a una assistència que podia ser, com de fet succeí, multitudinària. Amb el vistiplau de la direcció del Col·legi Santo Tomás de Aquino, el president de la respectiva Associació de Pares d’Alumnes, Josep Arrom, concebé la idea de dur a Inca un dels especialistes més reputats en la matèria, David Isaac, de la Universitat de Navarra, tot i els requeriments econòmics, que eren considerables, i la incertesa de la reacció de la resta d’APA davant la proposta. Així i tot, se’n sortí després de propiciar, amb molta feina i paciència, una adequada conjunció d’esforços. El resultat fou magnífic, i l’assistència a les dues conferències finalment programades desbordà totes les previsions.
