  • or the first time, a German language Special Focus is to be published in the European Forum of European Papers. One of the key questions in EU law is what it means to be part of a scientific community whose object of study are legal norms existing in a multiplicity of languages and legal cultures. As the European Forum starts to accept German language manuscripts next to English, French, Italian and Spanish texts, the authors of the present Special Focus inquire in various ways into the role, structure and issues of the German-speaking community of EU law scholars. After a short introduction, the various papers are briefly presented, followed by an exposition of European Papers’ mission and some details about how to submit manuscripts, all of it in German, as a welcoming message for hopefully many future German language submissions to the journal.
