    El contenido de este artículo puede leerse como la continuación de “Autoficción en América Latina: teoría y perspectivas analíticas”, presente en el mismo dossier de Lejana. Revista Crítica de Narrativa Breve. Continuaremos con el tema de la escritura autoficcional, atendiendo a la modalidad breve, la cual presenta características propias. Luego de llamar la atención sobre el rasgo de la extensión, revisaremos trabajos realizados por estudiosos latinoamericanos, y añadiremos nuestras propias perspectivas analíticas. Todo ello con la finalidad de ofrecer un esbozo de los estudios sobre la autoficción breve en países de habla hispana en el continente americano, señalar algunos problemas e invitar a continuar con la exploración de la autoficción en obras breves.

    The content of this article can be read as a continuation of “Autofiction in Latin America: Theory and Analytical Perspectives”, published in this same dossier of Lejana. Revista Crítica de Narrativa Breve. We will continue with the topic of autofictional writing, considering the brief modality, which has its own characteristics. After drawing attention to the feature of extension, we will review works carried out by Latin American scholars and add our own analytical perspectives. All of this with the purpose of offering an outline of the studies on short autofiction in Spanish-speaking countries on the American continent, pointing out some problems and inviting our readers to continue exploring autofiction in short works.
