    El fuerte desarrollo de la inteligencia artificial, con sus numerosas aplicaciones, ha sorprendido a muchos sectores sociales, también al religioso, y parece que la teología debería tomar nota y responder ante los posibles retos que se plantean. Para ello una primera misión es la de intentar comprender los términos del problema o los retos que se dan, para poder responder y adaptar el mensaje cristiano en este nuevo contexto, que requiere un ejercicio continuo de inculturación o de adecuación de la fe a nuevos ambientes. El artículo se propone repasar los temas más urgentes en los que la teología está llamada en causa, es decir, las cuestiones que pueden ser objeto de elaboración teológica. En ese sentido conviene ir más allá de las cuestiones éticas para centrar el debate en temas antropológicos y soteriológicos. En particular, la teología está en condiciones de abordar de forma especial el llamado “problema del alineamiento”, que para muchos es la gran cuestión que surge con el inusitado progreso de la IA.

    The strong development of artificial intelligence, with its numerous applications, has surprised many social sectors, including the religious sector, and it seems that theology should take note and respond to the possible challenges that arise. To do this, a first mission is to try to understand the terms of the problem or the challenges that arise, in order to be able to respond and adapt the Christian message in this new context, which requires a continuous exercise of inculturation or adaptation of Christian faith to new environments. The article sets out to review the most urgent issues on which theology is called to act, i.e. the questions that can be the subject of theological elaboration. In this sense, it is appropriate to go beyond ethical questions to focus the debate on anthropological and soteriological issues. In particular, theology is in a position to address in a special way the so-called “problem of alignment”, which for many is the big question that arises with the surprising progress of AI.
