Evaluación de la Eficacia de los Cuidados de Enfermería en el Tratamiento de CPAP Nasal Neonatal en un Hospital de Segundo Nivel

    OBJETIVO:  El objetivo de este estudio fue identificar los cuidados de enfermería que se brindan en el tratamiento de CPAP nasal neonatal en la UCIN de la Unidad Hospitalaria SESEQ San Juan del Río. MATERIAL Y MÉTODOS: Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo descriptivo-transversal con un total de 16 participantes que conforman al personal de enfermería de la UCIN. Se utilizó un cuestionario para recabar datos sobre los siguientes factores: edad, tiempo en el servicio de UCIN, grado académico, cuidados durante el proceso del tratamiento con CPAP nasal neonatal, cuidados en la aspiración de secreciones y cuidados en la fijación del CPAP nasal. La consistencia interna del instrumento se determinó mediante el coeficiente de 0.78 de Alpha de Cronbach. RESULTADOS: Los resultados del estudio mostraron que los cuidados de enfermería que se brindan en el tratamiento de CPAP nasal neonatal en la UCIN de la Unidad Hospitalaria SESEQ San Juan del Río son adecuados. Los participantes reportaron que brindan cuidados de calidad a los bebés que reciben este tratamiento.

     OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to identify the nursing care provided in the treatment of neonatal nasal CPAP in the NICU of the SESEQ San Juan del Río Hospital Unit. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A descriptive-cross-sectional quantitative study was conducted with a total of 16 participants who make up the nursing staff of the NICU. A questionnaire was used to collect data on the following factors: age, time in the NICU service, academic degree, care during the neonatal nasal CPAP treatment process, care in suctioning secretions, and care in securing the nasal CPAP. The internal consistency of the instrument was determined by a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.78. RESULTS: The study's results showed that the nursing care provided in the treatment of neonatal nasal CPAP in the NICU of the SESEQ San Juan del Río Hospital Unit is adequate. Participants reported that they provide quality care to the babies receiving this treatment.
