    La presente investigación está relacionada al nivel de conocimiento sobre el síndrome de Guillain-Barré en estudiantes de dos universidades del norte de Perú, ya que éste síndrome reaparece en este contexto sociodemográfico después que el ciclón Yaku se desplace por estas costas y como consecuencia la llegada de algunas enfermedades entre ellas el síndrome de Guillain Barré .Objetivo: Evaluar el nivel de conocimiento de los estudiantes universitarios respecto al síndrome de Guillain-barré; además de  comparar el nivel de conocimiento en las dos universidades e Identificar los aspectos más comunes  sobre el síndrome de Guillain Barré en los estudiantes universitarios. Metodología. el presente artículo tiene un enfoque de carácter cuantitativo descriptivo de corte transversal, en la cual se aplicaron encuestas a estudiantes las cuales presentaron 10 ítems con resultado de afirmativo y negativo en el instrumento y fueron válidos y confiables según la estadística Alfa de Cronbach superior al 80%. Además, se aplicaron un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia de estudiantes en la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo y la Universidad César Vallejo, siendo en su totalidad 212 estudiantes. Resultados: se indica entre los aspectos más importantes es el cómo afecta al sistema nervioso el síndrome de Guillain-Barré en un 97,7% de los estudiantes ,El conocimiento sobre la consecuencia de mortalidad con el síndrome en un 90% y el conocimiento respecto al Tratamiento sobre Guillain Barré en un 78,3%..Conclusiones: Se destaca que solo un 29,7% de los estudiantes universitarios presentan un nivel de conocimiento bueno, regular en un 65,1%, mientras que solo el 5,2% tenían un conocimiento muy básico sobre Guillain Barré.

    The present investigation is related to the level of knowledge about Guillain-Barré syndrome in students from two universities in northern Peru, since this syndrome reappears in this sociodemographic context after Cyclone Yaku moves through these coasts and as a consequence the arrival of some diseases including Guillain Barré syndrome. Objective: To evaluate the level of knowledge of university students regarding Guillain-Barré syndrome; in addition to comparing the level of knowledge in the two universities and Identifying the most common aspects of Guillain Barré syndrome in university students. Methodology. This article has a cross-sectional descriptive quantitative approach, in which surveys were applied to students which presented 10 items with positive and negative results in the instrument and were valid and reliable according to the Cronbach's Alpha statistic greater than 80 %; In addition, a non-probabilistic sampling was applied for the convenience of students at the National University of Trujillo and the César Vallejo University, with a total of 212 students. Results: it is indicated among the most important aspects is how the Guillain-Barré syndrome affects the nervous system in 97.7% of the students, the knowledge about the consequence of mortality with the syndrome in 90% and the knowledge regarding to Treatment on Guillain Barré in 78.3%. Conclusions: It stands out that only 29.7% of university students present a good level of knowledge, regular in 65.1%, while only 5.2 % had very basic knowledge about Guillain Barré.
