El fluido celómico de Eisenia fetida comienza a utilizarse contra el crecimiento de hongos fitopatógenos, como una alternativa económica y amigable con el medio ambiente por la gran diversidad de sustancias que contiene, entre ellas, los celomocitos. En este ensayo, se llevó a cabo el aislamiento e identificación de hongos filamentosos a partir de plantas de café y de maíz que presentaron signos de infección fúngica. Posteriormente se pusieron en contacto con fluido de E. fetida en concentraciones de celomocitos de 1500, 2250 y 4500 cel/ml, incubándolos en medio PDA por 96 h. En la mayoría de los hongos expuestos al fluido celómico se observó un efecto negativo en su crecimiento, principalmente en los géneros, Penicillium, Pestalotiopsis y Nigrospora, hongos que son de importancia ya que afectan cultivos de importancia económica como las gramíneas.
The coelomic fluid of Eisenia fetida begins to be used against the growth of phytopathogenic fungi, as an economical and environmentally friendly alternative due to the great diversity of substances it contains, including coelomocytes. In this essay, the isolation and identification of filamentous fungi was carried out from coffee and maize plants that showed signs of fungal infection. Subsequently, they were placed in contact with E. fetida fluid in coelomocyte concentrations of 1500, 2250, and 4500 cell/ml, incubating them in PDA culture medium for 96 h. In most of the fungi exposed to the coelomic fluid, a negative effect on their growth was observed, mainly in the genera Penicillium, Pestalotiopsis and Nigrospora, fungi that are important since they affect economically important crops such as grasses.
