    Esta investigación se realizó en el hospital más importante del occidente de El Salvador con la intención de identificar los genes de resistencia de la bacteria más aislada en muestras clínicas del Hospital basadas en la identificación por VITEK2 y la detección de Oxacilinasa (OXA) -51 por PCR, por el momento se han procesado un total de 82 muestras. Dentro de los principales hallazgos se ha determinado la presencia de OXA-24 en todos los aislamientos resistentes a Imipenem, así como cuatro aislamientos mostraron la presencia del gen NDM (Nueva Delhi metalobetalactamasa).

    This investigation was carried out in one of the most important hospitals in El Salvador. With the intention of identifying the resistance genes of the most isolated bacteria in clinical samples of the Hospital based on the identification by VITEK2 and the detection of Oxacilinasa (OXA) -51 by PCR, for the moment a total of 82 samples have been processed, within the main we discovered the presence of OXA-24 in all Imipenem resistant isolates has been determined, as well as four isolates identified the presence of the NDM ((New Delhi metallo-beta-lactamase) gene.
