    Hablar del tema de la educación en prisiones es un reto para los organismos del Estado; más aún por sus aspectos específicos y por sus actores. Este artículo tiene por objetivo generar una reflexión sobre la educación y el rol del docente en contextos de encierro; además es fruto de los avances investigativos que se han realizado a la fecha, en la tesis doctoral. La figura, el papel y la experiencia del docente en contextos de prisionalización no han sido valorados como deben ser, sus acciones no han sido estudiadas a profundidad y conocer sus experiencias puede aportar mucho a las investigaciones y al derecho fundamental de la educación dentro de la prisión, lo que nos lleva a concluir con el presente que el docente penitenciario es una figura en constante construcción.

    Talk of the theme of the education in prisons is a challenge for the agencies of the State; more still by its specifics and its actors. This article aims to generate a reflection on education and the role of the teacher in contexts of closure; In addition is fruit of them advances research that is have made to the date, in the thesis doctoral. The figure, the role and the experience of teaching in prisionalizacion contexts have not been valued as they should be, their actions have not been studied in depth and know your experiences can contribute much to research and to the fundamental right to education within the prison, which leads us to conclude with the present that the prison teacher is a figure in constant construction.
