Resumen de Zonas de vida en el proceso de la Zonificación Ecológica Económica (ZEE) de la provincia de Trujillo, región La Libertad, Perú

  Se identificaron las zonas de vida según Holdridge en el proceso de la elaboración de la Zonificación Ecológica Económica (ZEE) de la provincia de Trujillo región La Libertad, Perú. Las variadas condiciones de clima, suelos y geomorfología han dado origen a diferentes zonas de vida, que se caracterizan por la presencia de una vegetación típica en cada uno de ellos. En este sentido, se identificaron a ocho zonas de vida, ubicadas en los distintos pisos altitudinales, cuya calificación, desde el punto de vista del sistema Holdridge es la siguiente: Desierto desecado-Subtropical (dd-S), Desierto perárido-Montano Bajo Subtropical (dp-MBS), Matorral desértico-Montano Bajo Subtropical (md-MBS), Desierto superárido-Premontano Tropical (ds-PT), Matorral desérticoMontano Bajo Tropical (md-MBT), Desierto perárido-Premontano Tropical (dp-PT), Matorral desértico-Premontano Tropical (md-PT), Matorral espinoso-Premontano Tropical (mte-PT), Estepa espinosa-Montano Bajo Tropical (ee-MBT). En el área de costa (Desierto desecado-Subtropical (ddS)), la forestación principalmente se realiza con Tamarix gallica L. (Tamaricaceae) "tamarix" y Acacia horrida (L.) Willd. (Fabaceae) "huaranguillo". En el límite este con la provincia de Otuzco (Estepa espinosa-Montano Bajo Tropical (ee-MBT)) se empieza a reforestar con Eucalyptus globulus Labill "eucalipto" y otras especies que permiten conservar áreas para reforestación y/o para uso agrícola, y finalmente mediante la Zonificación Ecológica Económica permita alcanzar la integración de estudios específicos en el establecimiento del potencial de las zonas de vida de la provincia de Trujillo.

  According to Holdrigde, the life zones were identified into the process for Economic Ecological Zoning (ZEE) of Trujillo Province, La Libertad Region, Peru. The variety of climate conditions, soils and geomorphology have given rise to different life zones, which are characterized by the presence of a typical vegetation in each of them. In this sense, eight life zones were identified, located in the different altitudinal floors, whose qualification, from the point of view of the Holdridge system, is the following: Desiccated desert-Subtropical (dd-S), Perarid desert-Subtropical Lower Montane (dpMBS), Desert scrub-Subtropical Lower Montane (md-MBS), Superarid desert-Premontane Tropical (ds-PT), Desert scrub-Tropical Lower Montane (md-MBT), Perarid desert-Tropical Premontane (dp-PT), Desert scrub-Tropical Premontane (md-PT), Thorn scrub-Tropical Premontane (mte-PT), Thorn steppe-Tropical Lower Montane (ee-MBT). In the coastal area (Desiccated desert-Subtropical (dd-S)) afforestation is mainly carried out with Tamarix gallica L. (Tamaricaceae) "tamarix" and Acacia horrida (L.) Willd. (Fabaceae) "huaranguillo". On the eastern border with the province of Otuzco (Thorn steppe-Tropical Lower Montane (ee-MBT)) begins the afforestation with Eucalyptus globulus Labill "eucalyptus" and other species that allow to conserve areas for reforestation and/ or agricultural use, and finally through the Economic Ecological Zoning, it allows to reach the integration of specific studies in the establishment of the potential of the life zones of the Trujillo Province.
