Democratizar el currículum. Una experiencia para incorporar los ODS en las asignaturas

    La presente comunicación parte de un proyecto participativo denominado Co-creación de la ruta de los ODS en la Universitat Jaume I. Durante dicho proyecto, se ha preguntado a los estudiantes de la universidad, «¿Cómo crees que puedes vincular los ODS en tu asignatura?». A través de esta cuestión se pretende dar voz a los estudiantes y fomentar la participación de estos en la mejora del currículum y del proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje en general, así como hacer patente el valor de la implicación de toda la ciudadanía en el cumplimiento de los ODS. Partiendo de un cuestionario de respuesta abierta, se ha realizado un análisis de constructos cualitativo, para identificar las variables que emergen de las respuestas de los discentes siguiendo el método inductivo y se han validado los resultados desde un análisis interjueces. A partir de las propuestas de los estudiantes, los jueces identificaron seis categorías. Destacar que el alumnado propone avanzar hacia modelos de Educación para el Desarrollo Sostenible, donde los espacios y recursos sean flexibles y sostenibles. Además de derrumbar las barreras de la universidad para efectuar proyectos sobre ODS que reviertan en la sociedad. Igualmente, sienten inquietud por adquirir competencias en sostenibilidad y por vincular su formación académica con los ODS. Como conclusión, vemos que al dar al alumnado la posibilidad de aportar su punto de vista, obtenemos ideas muy enriquecedoras, por eso creemos que la universidad debe avanzar hacia la democratización del currículum, favoreciendo la participación de los estudiantes y dándoles voz dentro del proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje.

    The present communication is part of a participatory project called “Co-creation of the SDG route at Universitat Jaume I.” During this project, university students were asked, “How do you think you can link the SDGs in your subject?”. Through this question, the aim was to give voice to students and encourage their participation in improving the curriculum and the teaching and learning process in general, as well as to demonstrate the value of the involvement of all citizens in achieving the SDGs. Based on a questionnaire, a qualitative construct analysis was conducted to identify the variables that emerged from the responses of the students, following the inductive method, and the results were validated through an interjudge analysis. From the proposals of the students, the judges identified six categories. It should be noted that the students propose moving towards models of Education for Sustainable Development, where spaces and materials are flexible and sustainable. Additionally, they aim to break down the barriers of the university to carry out projects on the SDGs that benefit society. Likewise, they are interested in acquiring competencies in sustainability and linking their academic training with the SDGs. In conclusion, by giving students the opportunity to contribute their point of view, we obtain very enriching ideas. Therefore, we believe that the university should move towards the democratization of the curriculum, promoting student participation and giving them a voice within the teaching-learning process.
