Efecto bioinsecticidal de Bacillus thuringiensis H-14 var. israelensis mutante sobre Aedes aegypti

    Se evaluó el efecto bioinsecticida de Bacillus thuringiensis H-14 var. israelensis (Bti) mutante, sobre larvas III de Aedes aegypti. Se utilizaron tres concentraciones del Bti mutante (16 560, 33 120 y 66 240 esp/mL), cada tratamiento contó con 25 larvas en estadio lll de A. aegypti, las cuales fueron expuestas a las distintas concentraciones de Bti mutante más un grupo control. El bioensayo se realizó bajo condiciones de laboratorio, evaluado a las 24, 48 y 72 horas después de la exposición. Los resultados mostraron que a mayor concentración de Bti mutante mayor fue la actividad larvicida, ocurriendo la mayor eficacia, a las 72 horas a una concentración de 66240 esp/mL. Se concluye que Bacillus thuringiensis H-14 var. israelensis mutante posee una alta actividad larvicida sobre Aedes aegypti, en condiciones de laboratorio.

    The bioinsecticidal effect of mutant Bacillus thuringiensis H-14 var israelensis (Bti) on Aedes aegypti III larvae was evaluated by exposing them to three concentrations of the mutant Bti (16 560, 33 120 and 66 240 esp/mL), each treatment had 25 larvae in stage III of A. aegypti, which were exposed to different concentrations of mutant Bti and a control group. Bioassays between A. aegypti and mutant Bti were performed under laboratory conditions, evaluated at 24, 48, and 72 hours after exposure. The results showed that the higher the concentration of mutant Bti, the greater the larval mortality that occurred, with the concentration of 66 240 esp/mL being the most effective at 72 hours. It is concluded that mutant Bacillus thuringiensis H-14 var. israelensis has a high larvicidal activity against Aedes aegypti under laboratory conditions.
