  Los hongos Drechslera oryzae y Trichoconis padwickii afectan la germinación de la semilla de arroz. El control en el campo, de estos patógenos, en las etapas de pre-floración, floración, estados lechoso y masoso, se realizó utilizando los fungicidas Daconil, Dithane M-45, Vitavax y Sisthane a razón de 1.5 kg de P.C./ha; 5.0 kg P.C./ha, 2.5 l P.C./ha y 0.64 l P.C./ha, respectivamente. Los lotes fueron de media ha/tratamiento y la variedad utilizada fue Bowani. El testigo presentó niveles de D. oryzae y T. padwickii de 41% y 11%, respectivamente. Los niveles más bajos de ambos patógenos se observaron en lotes tratados con fungicidas, anterior al estado masoso del grano. La incidencia de D. oryzae en los lotes tratados con Daconil, Dithane M-45, Vitavax y Sisthane fueron para la primera y segunda aplicación 10.4%, 22.6%, 23.1% y 8.1%, respectivamente. El control de T. padwickii fue satisfactorio en todos los tratamientos. El peso en gramos de 500 granos de arroz para los tratamientos  Daconil, Dithane M-45, Vitavax, Sisthane y Testigo fue 15.30 , 15.46, 15.43, 15.45 y 14.39, respectivamente. El porcentaje de granos vanos, en el mismo orden fue de 4.31, 4.87, 4.10, 3.96 y 8.80.

  Two of the main fungi species affecting rice seed germination are Drechslera oryzae and Thrichoconis padwickii. A field study was conducted to control those pathogens in the following rice growth stages: pre-flowering, flowering, milk and dough. The following fungicides an doses were applied: Daconil 1.5 kg/ha, Dithane M-45 5.0 kg/ha, Vitavax 2.5 l/ha and Sisthane 0.64 l/ha. The control treatment showed levels of D. oryzae and T. padwickii of 41% and 11%, respectively. The lowest levels of both fungi were observed when fungicides were applied before the dough stage. After two applications of Daconil, Dithane M-45, Vitavax and Sisthane, the following levels of D. oryzae were observed: 10.4%, 22.6%, 23.1% and 8.1%, respectively. All fungicides satisfactorily controlled T. padwickii. Weight in grams for each 500 rice grains for the Daconil, Dithane M-45, Vitavax, Sisthane and Control treatments were 15.30, 15.46, 15.43, 15.45 and 14.39, respectively. Useless grain percentages, in the same order, were 4.31, 4.87, 4.10, 3.96 and 8.80.
