Idiap-r2 comparado con las variedades criollas de frijol poroto en Panamá

    En el periodo comprendido entre el 2007 y 2009 se realizó un estudio de comparación entre la variedad de frijol IDIAP-R2 con las variedades Argentino y Rosado Criollo. Los ensayos fueron establecidos en las localidades de Bonita, Salitral y Río Sereno en el 2007 y 2008, mientras que en el 2009 se realizaron evaluaciones en Río Sereno, Bonita, Caisán y Salitral,  en los distritos de Renacimiento y Bugaba. Se utilizó el enfoque de gestión integrada del conocimiento, donde la tecnología que se utilizó en las diferentes parcelas de evaluación fue consensuada con las diferentes agrupaciones participantes. El análisis de varianza para los datos colectados durante los tres años indicó que para la variable año y año*variedad se encontró diferencias altamente significativas (P<0,01). En tanto que para la variedad, las diferencias fueron significativas (P=0,02), mientras que para la variable año*muestra no se encontraron diferencias significativas (P=0,73). La medición del rendimiento con 14% de humedad mostró que el año 2009 fue el mejor, con una producción de 1750 kg.ha-1, seguido del rendimiento obtenido en el 2008 y 2009, con 1641 kg.ha-1 y 1531 kg.ha-1, respectivamente. Durante los tres años de evaluación, la mejor variedad fue IDIAP-R2 con 1750 kg.ha-1, seguida de Argentino y Rosado Criollo, con rendimiento de 1601 kg.ha-1 y 1583 kg.ha-1, respectivamente.

    A study was performed between 2007 and 2009 to compare IDIAP-R2 bean variety with Argentino and Pink Creole. The trials were established in the towns of Bonita, Salitral and Rio Sereno in 2007 and 2008, while in 2009 the assessments were made at Rio Sereno, Bonita, Caisán and Salitral, in the Districts of Renacimiento and Bugaba. It was used the approach of integrated knowledge management, where the technology to be used in evaluating the different plots was agreed with the various participating groups. The analysis of variance for data collected during the three years indicated highly significant differences for  year and year*variety (P<0,01). However for variety, the differences were significant (P=0,02), while for year*sample there was no significant difference (P=0,73). Measuring performance with 14% humidity showed that 2009 was the best year, with a yield of 1750 kg.ha-1, followed by the yields obtained in 2008 and 2009, with 1641 kg.ha-1 and 1531 kg.ha-1, respectively. During the three years of assessment, the best variety was IDIAP-R2 with 1750 kg.ha-1, followed by Argentina and Rosado Creole varieties with yields of 1601 kg.ha-1 and 1583 kg.ha-1, respectively.
