    Coa marcha forzosa ao exilio, na primavera de 1939, dos principais referentes do Partido Galeguista que resistiron ao golpe militar de 1936 e que teimaran en defender a República e as teses do galeguismo político en territorio peninsular, iniciaríase a súa reconstrución en Galiza. Ramón de Valenzuela, Francisco Fernández del Riego, Xaime Isla Couto, Manuel Gómez Román e Ramón Piñeiro serían centrais neste esforzo. Valenzuela, que fora designado no tempo de guerra secretario de organización do PG, promovería a reorganización do partido nacionalista desde 1944 ao saír do cárcere, acompañado de Xosé Velo Mosquera, Mariano Otero Castelao, Dámaso Carrasco e Vicente Bóveda, entre outros. Mais este esforzo tivo un breve percorrido. Francisco Fernández del Riego, Xaime Isla Couto e Manuel Gómez Román, último secretario xeral do PG no tempo republicano, farían unha nova tentativa de restablecer o partido, con Ramón Piñeiro como liberado, que tivo o seu momento álxido no verán de 1945, cando en Coruxo (Vigo) se celebrou unha asemblea de ámbito nacional na que se ratificaría o traballo desenvolvido até o momento e os pasos a seguir de aí en diante. Unha reorganización que daría lugar ao “boletín informativo” Galicia e ao “portavoz do Partido Galeguista” Roteiro.

    When the main leaders of the Galicianist Party who resisted the military coup, and who sought to defend the Second Spanish Republic and the idea of political Galicianism in Spain, began going into exile in the spring of 1939, the foundations for the rebuilding of the Galicianist Party in Galiza began to be created. Ramón de Valenzuela, Francisco Fernández del Riego, Xaime Isla Couto, Manuel Gómez Román and Ramón Piñeiro were key figures in this campaign. Valenzuela, who had been appointed Organizational Secretary of the Galicianist Party during the Spanish Civil War, became involved in the reorganization of the nationalist party from 1944 upon his release from prison. Although this initiative had little impact, it was supported by Xosé Velo Mosquera, Mariano Otero Castelao, Dámaso Carrasco and Vicente Bóveda, amongst others. Del Riego and Xaime Isla Couto, together with Manuel Gómez Román, the last General Secretary of the Galicianist Party during the Second Republic, in addition to a recently released Ramón Piñeiro, also contributed to this process. These efforts reached their peak in the summer of 1945, when a national assembly was held in Coruxo (Vigo) in order to ratify progress to date and choose the steps to be taken forwards. The reorganization led to the creation of the newsletter, Galicia, and the Galicianist Party official bulletin, Roteiro.
