Estudio de comunidad: herramienta pedagógica para enseñar y aprender la Geografía nacional

    El objetivo de este artículo es presentar el estudio de comunidad, como una herramienta pedagógica para la enseñanza y aprendizaje de la Geografía Nacional. Dicha investigación surge de la necesidad de diseñar e implementar estrategias que permitan una educación geográfica contextualizada en la realidad, más allá del libro de texto, que esté centrada en el análisis de los problemas presentes en su entorno inmediato. Es una investigación cualitativa orientada en el diseño de campo in situ, empleando la observación y entrevistas a estudiantes y docentes del área de Geografía en el municipio San Joaquín, estado Carabobo en Venezuela, considerados los informantes clave, que residen en la comunidad. El enfoque propuesto permitió involucrar a las comunidades (localidad, estudiantes y docentes) en la identificación y reconocimiento de sus problemas para plantear soluciones, mediante el diagnóstico participativo y la construcción de mapas comunitarios, logrando una visión crítica del espacio y su relación con las prácticas económicas, sociales, políticas, culturales e ideológicas del lugar.

    This article aims to present the study of community as a pedagogical tool for the teaching and learning of national geography. This research arises from the need to design and implement strategies that allow a contextualized geographic education in reality, beyond the textbook, which is focused on the analysis of the problems present in its immediate environment. It is qualitative research oriented in the design of the field in situ, using observation and interviews with students and teachers from the area of geography in the San Joaquín municipality, Carabobo state in Venezuela, considered the key informants, who reside in the community. The proposed approach allowed the communities (locality, students and teachers) to be involved in the identification and recognition of their problems to propose solutions, through participatory diagnosis and the construction of community maps, achieving a critical vision of the space and its relationship with the economic, social, political, cultural and ideological practices of the place.
