Resumen de O Pensamento Olavista sobre a Nova Ordem Internacional

Olavo de Carvalho was one of the main representatives of the extreme right in Brazil, with several followers and having influenced members of the government of Jair Bolsonaro (1919-1922), using social networks, traditional media and Philosophy courses taught by him as means of disseminating his ideas. The ideologist built a conspiracy-based narrative about the New World Order, pointing to three groups called “globalists” –Russia and China; the financial elites of the West; and the group The Islamic Fraternity -, which would act together, in spite of different projects of domination, against the Judeo-Christian civilization and the “true American nation”, the great representative of Western values. The article aims to critically analyze the Olavist narrative, also conducting a conceptual discussion on the terms Extreme Rightand Traditionalism, in order to contribute to the understanding of the nature of Carvalho's thought. Taking into account that the author lived in the USA, the work also stands that his speech expresses a petty-bourgeois and representative worldview of thedissatisfaction of a white and Christian middle level of North American society, which has been missing opportunities for economic insertion as a result of existing problems in the US economy, in the context of inter-imperialist competition with the Russian-Chinese bloc. Therefore, it is essential to point out the correlation of the Olavist narrative on the New World Order with the disputes in the field of current geopolitics, which places the USA in opposition to Russia and China in the configuration of the international order.

Olavo de Carvalho foi um dos principais representantes da extrema-direita no Brasil, possuindo diversos seguidores e tendo influenciado membros do governode Jair Bolsonaro (1919-1922), Utilizando como meios de divulgação de suas ideias as redes sociais, a mídia tradicional e os cursos de Filosofia ministrados por ele. O ideólogo construiu uma narrativa de base conspiracionista acerca da Nova Ordem Mundial, apontando para três grupos chamados de “globalistas” –a Rússia e a China; as elites financeiras do Ocidente; e o grupo A Fraternidade Islâmica -, que atuariam de forma conjunta,embora com projetos de dominação diferentes, contra a civilização judaico-cristã e a “verdadeira nação americana”, a grande representante dos valores ocidentais. O artigo objetiva analisar de forma crítica a narrativa olavista, realizando também uma discussão conceitual sobre os termos Extrema Direita e Tradicionalismo, de forma a contribuir para a compreensão da natureza do pensamento de Carvalho. Levando-se em conta que o autor residia nos EUA, o trabalho defende também que o seu discurso expressa uma visão de mundo pequeno-burguesa e representativa das insatisfações de uma camada média branca e cristã da sociedade norte-americana, que vem perdendo oportunidades de inserção econômica em decorrência de problemas existentes na economia americana, no contexto da concorrência interimperialista com o bloco russo-chinês. Assim sendo, é imprescindível apontar a correlação da narrativa olavista sobre a Nova Ordem Mundial com as disputas no campo da geopolítica atual, que colocam EUA em oposição à Rússia e à China na configuração da ordem internacional.
