    La relación entre accesibilidad y patrimonio puede parecer y presentarse como difícil o compleja, y paraotros, incluso imposible. Sin embargo, en arquitectura se ha considerado siempre que la interacción delhombre con su entorno debe ser para mejorar las condiciones de vida y no sólo enquella de carácterdoméstico y en el habitar, sino también en la de carácter monumental. Esta última, como depositaria devalores culturales de las diferentes sociedades, constituye en un alto porcentaje el patrimonio histórico.Esta ponencia trata del primer estándar español y del panorama internacional, la UNE 41531 IN, cuyoobjetivo es mejorar la accesibilidad al patrimonio cultural inmueble; siendo 2018, el Año Europeo delPatrimonio Cultural, la fecha de su publicación. En él se ofrecen criterios generales y técnicos deaplicación y una metodología de trabajo a tener en cuenta en el caso de una intervención en el patrimoniocultural inmueble, con el fin de facilitar su uso y disfrute a todas las personas, atendiendo a la diversidadde sus capacidades.El proyecto se continúa con el propósito de elaborar una norma de carácter internacional en el marco delorganización ISO. Concebido como herramienta afín a la Convención de Patrimonio Mundial, pretendeincidir en la puesta en valor del patrimonio cultural inmueble, mediante su incorporación a la vida socialy cultural de las comunidades y de todos los ciudadanos.     The relationship between accessibility and heritage may seem and be presented as difficult or convoluted,and for others, even impossible. However, in architecture it has always been considered that the interactionof man with his environment should be to improve living conditions and not only that of a domestic typeand in the dwelling, but also in that of a monumental nature. The latter, as a repository of cultural valuesof the different societies, makes up a high percentage of the historical heritage.This paper deals with the first Spanish standard and the international panorama, the UNE 41531 IN, whoseobjective is to improve accessibility to immovable cultural heritage; on 2018, the European Year ofCultural Heritage, the date of its publication. It offers general and technical application criteria and awork methodology to be taken into account in the case of an intervention in immovable cultural heritage,in order to facilitate its use and enjoyment for all people, taking into account the diversity of theircapabilities. The project continues with the purpose of developing an international standard within theframework of the ISO organization. Conceived as a tool related to the World Heritage Convention, it aimsto influence the enhancement of immovable cultural heritage, through its incorporation into the social andcultural life of communities and all citizens. The draft standard ISO/PWI TS 5727, Accessibility ofimmovable cultural heritage- General criteria and methodology, is currently under development
