    Organizaciones como el Centro Internacional de Estudios de Conservación y Restauración de BienesCulturales (ICCROM) reconocen la importancia de la conservación del patrimonio cultural, no sólo desdela perspectiva de los bienes materiales, sino también desde la perspectiva de la salvaguardia y lasensibilización del patrimonio como medio para mejorar la vida de las personas. Este enfoque implica unanueva visión proactiva y estratégica. Una nueva forma de entender el patrimonio como vector de bienestarsocial. En este contexto y dentro del trabajo desarrollado en el proyecto Culturmet, se ha diseñado unmodelo de análisis socioeconómico cuyo objetivo principal es, por un lado, hacer evidente la conexiónentre el patrimonio y el bienestar humano y, por otro, evaluar qué implicaciones podrían tener para lasociedad determinadas acciones relacionadas con su promoción turística y divulgativa. Este modeloadapta la tipología utilizada para los servicios ecosistémicos del patrimonio natural a las singularidadesy características de los elementos patrimoniales construidos que, según sus estructuras y los procesos queen ellos tienen lugar, desarrollan funciones que benefician a la sociedad.

    Organizations such as the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration ofCultural Property (ICCROM) recognize the importance of the conservation of cultural heritage, not onlyfrom the perspective of tangible property, but also from the perspective of safeguarding and raisingawareness of heritage as a means of improving people's lives. This approach implies a new proactive andstrategic vision. A new way of understanding heritage as a vector of social wellbeing. In this context andwithin the work developed in the InnovaConcrete project, a model of socio-economic analysis has beendesigned, whose main purpose is, on the one side, to make evident the connection between heritage andhuman wellbeing and, on the other, to evaluate the implications that certain actions related to its touristand informative promotion could have for society. This model adopts the typology used for the ecosystemservices of the natural heritage to the singularities and characteristics of the built heritage elements that,according to their structures and the processes that take place in them, develop functions that benefitsociety
