    El ser humano para poder adaptarse y convivir con los demás organismos en este mundo, necesita un sistema de regulación corporal que a la vez constituye el mecanismo de defensa más importante del cuerpo, el sistema inmunitario. En este escrito se plasmará todos los mecanismos de respuesta del sistema inmunitario, el ataque que recibe cada cuerpo extraño al entrar al cuerpo, y qué, dependiendo del tipo del cuerpo extraño, así mismo va a responder el sistema inmunitario debido a su característica de especificidad. La Enfermedad Periodontal es considerada como un problema de salud pública, causando pérdida de dientes, discapacidad, disfunción masticatoria y estado nutricional deficiente. El control de dicha enfermedad se basa básicamente en mantener un equilibrio, equilibrio que se consigue con estilos de vida saludables, así como visitas al odontólogo de manera periódica.

Periodontal disease is considered a public health problem, causing tooth loss, disability, masticatory dysfunction and poor nutritional status. The control of this disease is basically based on maintaining a balance, a balance that is achieved with healthy lifestyles, as well as regular visits to the dentist.
