    Hai case trinta anos que se fundou o movemento solidario co Pobo Saharauí e dende 1991 vén funcionando o programa “ Vacacións en Paz”. Proxecto de acollida temporal de nen@s saharauís durante os meses de xullo e agosto, que en Galicia desenvolve SOGAPS (Solidariedade Galega co Pobo Saharauí), a petición expresa do goberno da República Árabe Saharauí Democrática (RASD). O obxectivo concrétase en tres temas básicos: atención médica, alimentación física e cultural e sacar o maior número de cativos dos cincuenta graos de calor no deserto

    The solidarity movement in behalf of the Saharawi people was founded thirty years ago. The programme “Vacacións en Paz” has been in progress since 1991. This project implies the temporal asylum of Sahrawian children during July and August, which in Galicia is taken to practice by SOGAPS (Galician solidarity towards the Sahrawian people), as a result of a direct petition from the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic. The main goals of the programme address three basic topics: medical attention, nurture the physical and cultural needs of the children and maintain the greatest number possible of children away from the high temperatures of the desert.
