O artigo describe as explotacións mineiras galaico-romanas no val das Bornas, no extremo sur da serra do Lousado-Argallo, interpreta estas estruturas e sitúa a posible orixe xeolóxica de ouro en relación co Antiforme e granito de Tabagón, dentro da banda metasedimentaria de Monteferro-O Rosal. O mineral extraído da cabeceira do val a uns 185-80 m.s.n.m., en subterráneo coma en superficie, sería baixado até a boca do val, a uns 13-14 m.s.n.m, xa case no val do Tamuxe, para o seu muiñado e lavado do ouro.

The article describes the Gallician-Roman mining operations in the Borna’s valley, at the southern end of the Lousado-Argallo mountain range, interprets these structures and places the possible geological origin of gold in relation to the Antiform and granite of Tabagón, within the metasedimentary Banda de Monteferro-O Rosal. The ore extracted from the head of the valley at 185-80 m.a.s.l., both underground and on the surface, would be brought down to the mouth of the valley, at about 13-14 m.a.s.l., already almost in the Tamuxe valley, for milling and gold washing.
