El presente trabajo es un conjunto de reflexiones sobre el Estado y la nación mexicana en el periodo de 1910 al 2000. Se trata de reconstruir a grandes rasgos el proceso que siguió en la conform ción de la nación mexicana y el Estado, el papel jugado por los gobiernos y los actores sociales y políticos a lo largo de un siglo. La intención fue definir conceptos como Estado, nación, gobierno, régimen político, corporativismo y la manera en que se construyeron a través de los procesos económicos, políticos y sociales.

The present work is a collection of reflections about the State and the Mexican nation in the period 1910 to 2000. An attempt is made to reconstruct a broad picture of the process which followed the conformation of the Mexican nation and the State, the role played by the governments and the social and political actors over the period of a century. The intention is to define concepts like State, nation, government, political regime, corporativism and the way in which they were constructed through the economic, political and social processes.
