    El presente estudio tiene la idea de dar a conocer y comprender mejor el territorio del municipio de Texcoco de Mora. Se presenta un breve repaso de su historia, sus principales problemas ambientales, las características territoriales y sociopolíticas que comparten con municipios vecinos se describe; también las características de ocupación de suelo, de asentamientos irregulares, condiciones económicas y educativas de su población, infraestructura, el ex Lago de Texcoco, vida política y la influencia en el tejido y conformación del municipio en esta región.

    The present study has the idea to present and to include/understand better the territory of the municipality of Texcoco de Mora. A brief review of its history appears, its main environmental problems, the territorial and sociopolitical characteristics that share with neighboring municipalities. The characteristics of ground occupation are showed, with irregular establishments, the economic and educative conditions of its population, its infrastructure, the Texcoco Lake, its political life and the influence in the weave and conformation of the municipality in this region.
