    En 1972 un terremoto destruye las principales bibliotecas de Nicaragua y durante  la insurrección  en 1979 fueron  saqueadas o destruidas las  demás. La gran cruzada  de Alfabetización en 1980, fue la primer tarea revolucionaria, produjo  un  aumento  en  la  población  lectora  de  400.000  personas  en  solo  un  año.  Cómo atender  a  los  usuarios  antiguos  y  a  esta  nueva  avalancha  que  llegó  a  los  centros  educativos con una vides reprimida durante cuarenta años de dictadura?

    In 1972 an earthquake destroys the principal libraries of Nicaragua and during the insurrection in 1979 they were plundered or destroyed other. The great crusade of Literacy in 1980, was it firstly revolutionary task, produced an increase in the reading population of 400.000 persons in only one year. How to attend to the ancient users and to this new avalanche that came to the educational centers with one grapevines suppressed for forty years of dictatorship?
