    Este año 2023 se cumplen 40 años de estabilidad democrática en la República Argentina. Un verdadero hito en nuestra historia. Aunque no solamente nuestro país ha sufrido dictaduras totalitarias. Lamentablemente, muchas naciones del mundo las han sufrido, y algunas todavía continúan sufriéndolas, a veces bajo la forma de “autocracias electivas” —como a manera de oxímoron destaca Thomas Olechowski en el artículo que seguidamente se traduce—.

    This year 2023 marks 40 years of democratic stability in the Argentine Republic. A real milestone in our history. However, it is not only our country that has suffered totalitarian dictatorships. Unfortunately, many nations in the world have suffered from them, and some still continue to suffer from them, sometimes in the form of "elective autocracies" -as Thomas Olechowski points out by way of oxymoron in the article translated below-.
