    El presente trabajo pretende demostrar la noción del λαθε βιωσας como base filosófica del tetrafármaco de Epicuro. Para ello, se hará una revisión de los pre-cedentes históricos de Grecia y las confluencias político-religiosas del período helenístico. Se argumenta que el λαθε βιωσας no necesariamente es una reac-ción contra la política alejandrina, sino que versa contra todas las corrientes de superstición y falsas opiniones (recordando que Epicuro también hizo crítica a los mitos). Luego, se demostrará una posible interpretación del λαθε βιωσαςen estrecha relación con el tetrafármaco de Epicuro como base del ejercicio te-rapéutico, de mutua ayuda y distanciamiento de las falsas opiniones. El λαθε βιωσαςimplicó un espacio determinado, el Jardín (κῆπος), para la práctica de las máximas de realización de una vida ataráxica y aponística

    This work aims to demonstrate the notion of λαθε βιωσας as a philosophical basis for Epicurus’ theory of τετραφάρμακος. This is achieved by offering a review of the historical precedents of Greece and the political-religious conflu-ences in the Hellenistic period. My argument is that λαθε βιωσας may not necessarily be a reaction against Alexandrian politics, but rather against all cur-rents of superstition and false opinions. Then, a possible interpretation of λαθε βιωσας will be demonstrated in close relationship with the Epicurus’ theory of tetrapharmaceutical. I suggest this could be the basis of the therapeutic exercise, mutual help and distancing of opinions. The λαθε βιωσας could imply being a specific space, the Garden (κῆπος), the maxims are put into practice for the realization of an ἀταραξία and ἀπονία life
