  Se redescribe a Limatuloides limatulus (Braun 1900) Dubois 1964 sobre la base de un ejemplar adulto obtenido del intestino de Tadarida brasiliensis Geof. (Chiroptera, Molossidae) capturado en Isla Talavera, provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina. La descripción efectuada por Braun (1900) es breve y está basada en un espécimen colectado del intestino de un Molossus sp. capturado en Ipanema, Brasil. Dada la pérdida del material tipo y queL. limatulus no ha sido registrada nuevamente desde su descripción original, el estudio morfológico detallado de nuevo material permite efectuar una mejor caracterización de esta especie. El hallazgo de L. limatulus en T. brasi-liensis de Argentina constituye el segundo registro descripción original y permite ampliar el registro de hospedadores y su distribución geográfica

  Limatuloides limatulus (Braun 1900) Dubois 1964 (Trematoda, Lecithodendriidae) is redescribed on the basis of an adult specimen obtained from the intestine of Tadarida brasiliensis Geof. (Chiroptera: Molossidae) from Isla Talavera, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. Braun's (1900) original description is brief and it was based on only one specimen collected from the intestine of a non identified Molossus species captured at Ipanema, Brasil. Taking into account that the type material is lost and that the present is the second record of L. limatulus after the original description, the detailed morphological study hare presented, allowed a better characterization of this species. The finding of L. limatulus parasitizing T. brasiliensis represents a new host record and a considerable enlargement of the geographical range for the especies
