La respuesta educativa al alumnado que llega a la sociedad de acogida con más de diez años de edad es un reto complejo. Este artículo se centra en las reflexiones de un grupo de docentes sobre las dificultades que encuentra este alumnado en su vida cotidiana, dificultades que influyen en su bienestar y en su quehacer escolar. Explicaremos, asimismo, las estrategias que pone en marcha el profesorado para atenuar las consecuencias de algunos de esos obstáculos.
The educational response to students who arrive in the host society with more than ten years of age is a complex challenge. This article focuses on the reflections of a group of teachers on the difficulties that these students encounter in their daily lives, difficulties that influence their well-being and their school work. We will also explain the strategies implemented by teachers to mitigate the consequences of some of these obstacles.
