    Con el objetivo de desarrollar una educación ambiental comunitaria eficiente, por el Centro de Investigaciones de Ecosistema Costeros se realizan acciones concretas y medibles por su estrategia de educación ambiental. En este estudio evaluamos los resultados alcanzados debido a las acciones de educación ambiental y de divulgación llevadas a cabo por el CIEC desde el 2015, a saber concursos pioneriles, proyecto comunitarios de limpieza ambiental , festival de aves endémicas, campañas a limpiar el mundo, acciones educativas en los medios de difusión masiva , y el evento ECOCIEC. Los principales logros obtenidos se centran en la contribución a sensibilizar a la comunidad de Morón sobre el efecto peligrosos de los vertederos ilegales, la vinculación de pioneros y pobladores a acciones ambientales por lo que se logra una mejor visión del Centro de Investigaciones de Ecosistema Costeros en esta comunidad, por lo que ha sido distinguido como centro destacado a nivel municipal.

    With the objective of developing an efficient community environmental education, the Center of Coastal Ecosystems Investigations (CIEC) performs concrete and measurable actions for its environmental education strategy. In this study we evaluated the results achieved due to the environmental education and outreach actions carried out by the CIEC since 2015, namely pioneering competitions, community environmental cleanup project, endemic bird festival, campaigns to clean the world, actions Educational in the mass media, and the ECOCIEC event. The main achievements are centered on the contribution to sensitize the community of Morón on the dangerous effect of illegal landfills, the linking of pioneers and settlers to environmental actions so that a better vision of the CIEC is achieved in this community, for Which has been distinguished as a center at the municipal level.
