ABSTRACT The bryophyte richness was evaluated in the understory of a swamp forest of Amomyrtus luma and an anthropogenic wet prairie of Juncus procerus. Bryophyte richness, and growth and life forms changed between both wetlands. Because of differences between bryophyte species, both kind of wetlands should be considered for conservation efforts.
