Resumen de Hegel y Calderón: de la imaginación romántica a la fantasía nacional

Este artículo examina la caracterización de la fantasía en la filosofía de Hegel. Se defiende la tesis de que aquella se configura como una crítica al romanticismo jenense, cuyos vestigios cabría ya situar en el corazón de la Enciclopedia, hasta su puesta en práctica en la Estética. La característica ambigüedad que Hegel despliega en este intento de encaje de sus aspiraciones juveniles, en orden a formar una fantasía nacional, se explicará atendiendo al lugar que ocupa la obra de Calderón de la Barca.

This article examines the characterisation of fantasy in Hegel’s philosophy. The thesis is that it is shaped, from its theoretical development at the heart of the Encyclopaedia to its implementation in the Aesthetics, as a critique of what he sees as an excess of individualism on the part of the Romantics motivated by their adherence to Catholicism. It is an ambiguous critique, however, as Hegel will try to fit in his own youthful aspirations to shape a “national fantasy”, this Janic character being represented by his treatment of Cervantes and Calderón.
